The School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine is seeking outstanding candidates to join Professor Joan Zuo's research team (http://www.pharmacy.cuhk.edu.hk).
Applicants should (i) have a PhD degree in Pharmacy, Computer Science or a related discipline from a local university or a high-ranked overseas university; (ii) be familiar with at least one programming language, e.g. Python, Perl, Java etc.; (iii) have excellent communication skills in English and Chinese; and (iv) be a good team player with the ability to work independently.
Duties include (a) programming for an algorithm to extract relevant content from Chinese and English articles via implementation of natural language processing or relevant techniques; (b) leading a research project under supervision; (c) drafting proposal to seek external funding; (d) preparing documents or working reports; (e) providing training to and collaborating with team members; and (f) carrying out other assigned duties.
Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
