The Department of Electronic Engineering (EE) is seeking outstanding candidates for Research Fellow in the field of Antenna engineering, Microwave engineering, Radar systems or Synthetic aperture radars.
Applicants should have (i) a Ph.D. degree in Antennas, Microwave Engineering, Radar Systems or related subjects; (ii) at least eight years of relevant post-qualification experience; (iii) fluency in written and spoken English; (iv) good organisational skills, the ability to work independently, a strong sense of responsibility, and self-motivation; (v) outstanding academic records/publications; and (vi) in-depth research statements. Proven expertise in antenna engineering or synthetic-aperture radar systems is preferred.
The appointee will work under the supervision of Professor Steven Gao in the Department. The appointee is expected to (a) produce top-tier research outputs; (b) assist in supervising postgraduate students; and (c) perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
