The Department of Psychiatry is recruiting Research Assistant(s) / Junior Research Assistant(s) to assist in a large-scale hospital-based study on children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Medical Sciences, Public Health, or related fields; (ii) the ability to work both independently as well as in a team; (iii) a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit; and (iv) good communication skills to work with participants of the clinical trial. Experience in data management and working with children/parents will be an advantage.
The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) recruiting participants from clinical setting and community; (b) conducting neuropsychological assessments for children and autistic diagnostic interview; (c) performing data management; and (d) processing biological samples when necessary. The appointee(s) will have the opportunity to conduct assessments with children/parents and observe outpatient clinical sessions.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
