Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education or a related discipline, preferably a higher degree; (ii) at least two years’ work experience; (iii) good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (iv) practical experience and good skills in literature review, research questionnaires/instruments design, conducting research and data analysis, and drafting research paper in education, psychology or social sciences; (v) good knowledge and skills in research methods and competence in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, LISREL); (vi) experience and skills in webpage design and maintenance as well as video and photo editing; and (vii) the ability to work independently and proactively under tight schedules. Experience in serving gifted students and their parents will be an advantage.
The appointee will be responsible for providing research support to the Program for the Gifted and Talented (PGT). Duties include (a) assisting in various aspects of research, related activities, assessment, and evaluation of the PGT programs; (b) compiling research papers, reports and other forms of deliverables; (c) providing support for the PGT programs; (d) providing support in data processing and analysis; (e) organizing educational programs for gifted students and their parents; and (f) performing other duties as assigned. Working on Saturday is required.
