The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS), working with more than 200 ophthalmologists and visual scientists in Hong Kong and mainland China, is committed to advancing patient services, research, and training and education to the highest quality in all major areas of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. We are looking for candidates to take up positions in our clinical and research programmes on disease entities, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and other retina diseases. We are highly committed to supporting the career development of all staff members.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably obtained from a local university; (ii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese Chinese; and (iii) a strong sense of responsibility working in a team as well as good communication skills. Those without a Bachelor’s degree or relevant working experience may be considered for appointment as Junior Research Assistant.
Research duties include (a) data collection in research setting; (b) data entry and other clerical tasks; (c) performing other duties as assigned by seniors. On-the-job training and guidance will be provided from Postdoctoral Fellows or Technicians.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
