The Department of Electronic Engineering is seeking Postdoctoral Fellow(s) / Research Associate(s) on deep learning and/or remote sensing.
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mechanic Engineering or related discipline; (ii) experience in developing or co-ordinating research projects and preparing manuscripts and technical report; (iii) solid experience in data collection and analysis; and (iv) a good command of both written and spoken English.
The appointee(s) will work with a research team on building high-definition maps of Hong Kong from multiple data sources, including LiDAR measurements, surround-view images, and GNSS signals. Duties include (a) initiating and conducting research projects; (b) data collection and data analysis; (c) providing assistance in writing project reports and academic publications; and (d) performing other tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator or his delegate(s).
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
