The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) is seeking highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow(s). State-of-the-art inter- and multi-disciplinary research is conducted in the department of BME at CUHK and the Department is ranked 1st in Hong Kong and 20th in global ranking (https://www.bme.cuhk.edu.hk/new/index.php).
Applicants should have (i) a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or any other relevant field; (ii) strong mathematical background (especially linear algebra, calculus, optimisation, probability, and statistics) and strong programming background (especially MATLAB and Python). Applicants with strong communication and technical writing skills in English is preferred. Previous work experience with neuroimaging data (especially MRI, fMRI, and EEG) and machine learning/AI/computer vision (comprehension of mathematics behind various models/algorithms) would be advantageous.
The appointee(s) will work with Prof. Sadia Shakil (https://www.bme.cuhk.edu.hk/new/sadiap.php) to perform inter-disciplinary research involving data collection, analysis, and model development for brain structure and function.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance.
