The Department of Psychiatry is recruiting Research Assistant(s) / Junior Research Assistant(s) to assist in mental health assessments and interventions for older adults in Hong Kong.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or healthcare-related disciplines; (ii) proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Cantonese); (iii) good computer knowledge in MS Office applications, Chinese word-processing and statistical software such as SPSS; (iv) good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills; and (v) enthusiasm in elderly mental health research. Relevant experience in psychological or psychiatric research is preferred.
The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) assisting in participant recruitment and communication; (b) arranging and conducting clinical assessment on cognition and psychiatric symptoms; (c) assisting in non-pharmacological interventions for older adults; (d) performing data entry and analysis; and (e) preparing reports and assisting daily administration. Working outside normal office hours and during weekends may be required occasionally. On-the-job training will be provided as necessary.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
