The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS), working with more than 200 ophthalmologists and visual scientists in Hong Kong and Mainland China, is committed to advancing patient services, research, and training and education to the highest quality in all major areas of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. We are looking for candidates to take up positions in our clinical and research programmes on disease entities, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and other retina diseases. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in a science-related discipline; (ii) proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese); (iii) strong organisational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; (iv) demonstrated responsibility, integrity, and high self-motivation; and (v) the ability to work independently and with attention to detail. Experience in clinical research is an added advantage.
Appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) assisting the Principal Investigator in conducting clinical trials; (b) preparing study materials and managing submissions to ethics committees; (c) ensuring smooth coordination throughout the trial; (d) providing administrative support such as maintaining all documents and records, data entry and other clerical tasks; and (e) performing other duties as assigned.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to two years, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
