The Department of Surgery is seeking a Research Assistant to work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin. The laboratory uses organoids to understand gastrointestinal carcinogenesis and as a platform to develop biomarkers and therapeutics.
Applicants should have (i) an MPhil degree in Biology, Biochemistry or other relevant scientific field; (ii) prior experience in basic mammalian cell culture technique and clinical specimen handling; and (iii) prior experience in RNA handling and PCR.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
