Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Creative Media, Graphic Design or a related discipline from a recognised institution; (ii) at least one year of work experience in developing virtual reality (VR) systems, and using 3D modelling software and web applications; (iii) good knowledge and proficiency in real-time interactive application development, e.g., Unreal engine/Unity or other similar game engines, motion graphics, metaverse, VR, augmented reality, mixed reality, CAVE and 5G; (iv) familiarity with shaders, materials, and advanced graphics programming in Unreal Engine; (v) a sound portfolio of multimedia or game related projects; and (vi) strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
Duties include (a) assisting and working with the project team in designing, developing, system simulation testing and releasing different VR tools and applications, and web applications; (b) creating working prototypes to demonstrate new VR features/concepts; (c) conducting rigorous testing to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring a stable VR experience; (d) debugging and optimising code for seamless VR performance, ensuring low latency and high frame rates; and (e) performing other administrative work as required.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
