Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Molecular Genetics, Human Genetics, or a related discipline; (ii) at least four years of post-qualification full-time research experience (for Research Associate) or at least eight years of post-qualification relevant experience (for Research Fellow); (iii) experience in developing and conducting research in genetics and genomics, coordinating research projects and preparing manuscripts and grant proposals; (iv) knowledge of statistical software in conducting research; (v) a good track record in quantitative/qualitative research and publications; (vi) the ability to work independently and to solve problems; and (vii) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Duties include (a) initiating and developing research projects related to genomics and genetics; (b) conducting research projects and assisting in data analysis; (c) assisting in writing research grant proposals, project reports and academic publications; (d) undertaking teaching and related administrative tasks; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned by the Director or his delegate(s).
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
