Applications are invited for the position of full-time Research Assistant for research projects across different topics, led by Professor Janja Brendel.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines with prior work experience as a Research Assistant; (ii) a demonstrated interest in the topic of the research project, as well as experience in collecting data manually or via web-scrapping, prior coding experience in R and/or Python is required; and (iii) the ability to manage project deadlines; and (iv) a very good command of English. Familiarity with more than one relevant discipline and experience appropriate to any aspect of the research project will be advantageous.
The appointee will conduct various research-related activities under the supervision of the project leader. He/She will be responsible for (a) assisting the project leader in collecting data; (b) collecting, checking and analysing qualitative and quantitative information; and (c) drafting publications and presenting research findings at international conferences. The appointee will be based in Hong Kong. Candidates from any nationality or origin are welcome.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to one year commencing June 2025, but no later than September 2025, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
