Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above preferably in Biology/Biomedical Sciences, Social Science, Nursing or the Allied Health Professions including physiotherapy; (ii) good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills; (iii) a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge in computer literacy is preferred. Experience in patient-related research, database management and/or basic statistics using SPSS/ R or a similar program will be an advantage.
The appointee will work and contribute to the coordination and evaluation of ongoing research projects. Duties include (a) assisting with patient assessment and data collection in clinical research; (b) database management and analysis; (c) survey administration and maintaining study cohorts; (d) supporting the clinical research team (for example, protocol amendment and consent form completion); (e) literature review; and (f) performing ad hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Training will be provided in clinical work and database management. The appointee will be required to work in other hospitals to meet the needs of our research projects. The appointee is also required to work on clinical specimens including medical sample collection.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
