The Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is seeking exceptional applicants for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor or Assistant Professor (in the field of Pharmacy Practice) in the School of Pharmacy.
Current research interests in the School include drug delivery, drug-herb interactions, drug resistance, and cost-effectiveness. The School is gearing up for an expanded focus in translational research in precision medicine, drawing on research in clinical pharmacy, health services, health policy, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacovigilance, informatics, big data, and artificial intelligence. Applicants should have (i) PhD, PharmD, MD or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline; (ii) postdoctoral or faculty experience in a relevant scientific discipline; and (iii) record of research productivity as evidenced by peer reviewed publications; and preferably have (iv) research area that aligns with and/or builds on existing and future programmatic areas in the School and the Faculty; (v) extramural support as PI; (vi) evidence of leadership and collaborative interactions and (vii) excellent oral and written communication skills.
The appointees are expected to (a) teach in the Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and graduate programmes; (b) develop and maintain an extramurally funded research programme in an area that aligns with or builds on the strengths of the School of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Medicine; and (c) provide service to the School, Faculty, University and the scientific discipline.

Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
