The Department of Finance at CUHK Business School now invites applications for the position of Professional Consultant / Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Actuarial Science and Insurance.
The appointee will (a) teach courses in actuarial science and insurance at undergraduate/postgraduate level; (b) serve as an academic advisor to students; (c) assist in curriculum development; and (d) serve on committee and perform administration duty as assigned. Individuals with a strong academic/industry network in greater China and/or Asia-Pacific are especially encouraged to apply.
For the position of Senior lecturer / Lecturer, applicants should (i) have a higher degree, preferably a PhD; (ii) demonstrate ability for high quality teaching of undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses depending on the qualifications and experience; and (iii) have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship.
Those who fulfill the requirements above and have significant work experience in reputable insurance companies or professional actuarial organizations could apply for the position of Professional Consultant.
The appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years commencing January 2025, renewable subject to demonstration of the requisite level of performance and mutual agreement.
