This position requires a commitment to scholarly productivity, teaching excellence, and professional service. The successful candidate will be positioned to bridge many of the research sub-disciplines in the Department. Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in sports/exercise science, kinesiology, public health or a closely related discipline; (ii) evidence of a strong record of publications in high-quality international journals, preferably in the areas of sports pedagogy and physical education, wearable technology and AI, exercise and rehabilitation science, or physical activity epidemiology and bioinformatics (iii) competence and experience in course teaching and research student supervision; and (iv) experience in programme administration and/or development.
The appointee will (a) teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses; (b) supervise graduate students; (c) publish in top-tier journals related to sports and health; and (d) involve in the development and delivery of teaching programmes.
Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation. For candidates with outstanding research/ scholarship credentials and very good teaching/ service records, substantiation may be considered at initial appointment. Salary will be highly competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
