The Department of Information Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) seeks outstanding candidates for Research Assistant Professorship (RAP) in the areas of AI for Health and Medicine with a focus on clinical applications, Embedded AI algorithms and systems, Autonomous Driving and Robotics systems.
Applicants should have (i) a PhD in Computer Science or related field; (ii) demonstrated research ability in systems and AI, with focus on at least one of the applications in health, medicine, autonomous driving, and robotics.
The successful candidate is expected to (a) conduct research in AI and systems; (b) pursue external research funding as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator; (c) co-supervise undergraduate and graduate students; (d) teach relevant courses at undergraduate and graduate levels; and (e) contribute to service duties at department, faculty, and university levels. The appointee will work closely with Prof. Guoliang Xing's research group in the department, focusing on advancing the field of embedded AI systems.
Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years.
