The Department of Chemistry at The Chinese University of Hong Kong invites applications for the position of Research Assistant Professor.
Applicants should (i) possess a Ph.D. degree, (ii) have completed post-doctoral training; and (iii) demonstrate strong research experience in the synthesis of carbon nanomaterials using chemical vapor deposition (CVD). A solid publication record in internationally recognized journals is essential, along with a proven commitment to advancing research in the synthesis of carbon nanomaterials and carbon allotropes.
The appointee is expected to (a) work closely with Prof. MIAO Qian’s research group (https://www.cuhk.edu.hk/research/MiaoGroup/miao-group-web.html) to advance research in the templated growth of carbon nanomaterials and carbon allotropes; and (b) act as Principal Investigator to apply for funding from the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong and other external funding agencies annually.
